Kilimanjaro Climbing Diary: 18th of June 2010

Hi Folks :

Again, fresh news from Tommy Tucker (Dicey Reillys Irish Bar compere) all the way from Tanzania, on the way to reach the top of Kilimanjaro in support of the children with cancer.

Yesterday they reached 4.000 metres with a very sunshine day, they literally are above the clouds, the rythm of the climbing is very strong. Hopefully today they will reach 4600 m.

Well to have an idea what is the process we inform you that Kilimanjaro is 5.895 m so today when they reach 4600 m , then it will be around 1300 m left to get to the top of the mountain. Also to mention that Kilimanjaro is Africans highest mountain.

Tommy Tucker has informed us that he will give us a full report about the climbing with pictures, once he is back from Tanzania.
